The Emerald Academy and College is located in the Nepali district of Jhapa at Sagarmatha Chowk. One of the top secondary schools and colleges in Jhapa is this institution. The academy is renowned among the secondary schools in the Jhapa district for its academic excellence. Originally founded as a secondary school, Emerald Academy now offers bachelor degree programs connected to Tribhuvan University.
The National Examinations Board (NEB) and Tribhuvan University are both partners with Emerald Academy and College. It offers Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) degree programs as well as Ten Plus Two programs in Management & Science streams.
Kindergarten, junior education, and various events like music, sports, and assemblies were held in the academy's main building. Ekantakuna Lalitpur now has a branch of the Emerald Academy. Up until 2003, this branch only had one building. Then, Emerald Academy bought a second building across the street. Secondary education was provided by this second branch.
