RABI LAMICHHANE

INTRODUCTION

Rabi Lamichhane is a Nepalese television personality who holds the world record for the longest marathon presenting a television show.In advance of the general elections in Nepal scheduled for 2022, Lamichhane established his own party, the National Independent Party (Rastriya Swatantra Party.

Personal Life And Family 

 He was born on 5 september 1974 in Nagarkot, Bhaktapur. The first spouse of Rabi Lamichhane was Isha Shrestha. They had a love marriage, which his parents did not approve of. Two children named Riya and Richa were born to the first wife.  In 2019, Rabi Lamichhane and his first wife Isha divorced.

He is now living happily with his second wife Nikita Poudel in Kathmandu.

 JOURNALISM  CAREER

Lamichhane discussed the notion that the Buddha was born in Nepal with public figures, journalists, and celebrities in addition to receiving audience calls. Romanian artist Alexandru Raducanu recently performed for more than 72 hours, shattering the 62-hour mark he set in April 2013 for the longest presentation in Guinness World Records history.

Prior to leaving to join the Galaxy 4K network, Lamichhane presented a well-liked television program called Straight Talk with the People on the News24 Network.

HIS CONTIBUTION ON JOURNALISM

After the show  on News24 Network on the topic  "Buddha was born in Nepal" to "help promote Nepal globally," bloomed his popularityLamichhane is best known for hosting the News 24 television program Sidha Kura Janta Sanga. Using a structure similar to the sting journalism pioneered by the Indian news magazine Tehelka, Lamichhane provides an editorial monologue in addition to reporting. 

Following up on allegations from regular people, primarily those who have been the victims of fraud or corruption, Lamichhane confronts the suspected offenders in front of the camera. According to critics, the program fosters "a cult of personality around its host" and is "unapologetically nationalist, at times simple in its handling of complex problems."

NEPAL INDEPENDENT PARTY

After investing 9 years in media Rabi Lamichhane has bid his final good bye to his  popular  television show 'SHIDHA KURA JANATA SANGA' through a farewell video that he shared on his social media.

 At a presentation held on Monday in Rastriya Sabha Griha in Kathmandu, television star Rabi Lamichhane announced the creation of a new party, the Nepal Independent Party. A bell will be the symbol of the party. He has encouraged the independent candidates to join the party. This party will consists 50% youths as members. 

Rabi believed that In order to drum up votes for proportional representation from across the land, he must create a party. Furthermore, according to Rabi Lamichhane, his party will only have members, no commissars, and no sister groups.
