Rekha Thapa was born in the Nepalese town of Salakpur in the year 1982. She spent her entire childhood in Morang. She moves to Kathmandu for further education after SLC. She had a strong desire to work in the glitzy industry since she was a child. She proceeded to participate in numerous modeling and glamourous programs as a result of her love. She competed in Miss Nepal in 1999 and placed among the top 10 finalists. She made her acting debut two years later in the film Hero.
