Floods Pose A Serious Threat To Citizens

In Biratnagar, rivers were seen sweeping away bridges, roads, houses, and an airport runway, as well as rice paddy crops that had been submerged or washed away.
 

Persistent heavy rains were making it difficult to get to Seti, a village in western Nepal where more than 50 people have been trapped by floodwaters for two days, which is located some 350 km west of the nation's capital Kathmandu. Landslides and flash floods frequently occur in Nepal from the middle of June till the end of September.

In the upcoming days, further rain has been anticipated by the authorities.The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology issued a forecast for the following two days that included chances of heavy rains in certain parts and light to moderate snowfall  in the eastern mountainous regions.
