Panauti, an ancient and historic city, is home to Kavre English Secondary School. One of the socially and culturally rich cities in the Kavrepalanchowk district, which is 35 kilometers east of Kathmandu. Panauti, a historic Newar community city, is well-known for the Makar Mela, a 12-year-cycle religious festival lasting one month. Panauti is known for its natural resources and agricultural products in addition to its rich cultural heritage. The non-profit Kavre English Secondary School's mission statement is "Education for Peace, Creativity, and Excellence." As a Private Trust, it is run by Kavre Education Development Foundation. Its sole mission is to provide high-quality, need-responsive education.
